An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Registered Manager to lead a brand-new 4-bed children’s residential home supporting young people with emotional and behavioural needs. This role offers the chance to shape and develop a therapeutic, child-centred service from the ground up, creating a safe, structured, and nurturing environment focused on long-term outcomes, stability, and positive development. You will have full autonomy to build your team, embed trauma-informed and attachment-based practices, and drive high standards of care, supported by an experienced senior leadership team with strong regulatory knowledge.
Key Responsibilities

Support the Registered Manager in the day-to-day running of the home

Lead shifts and provide strong, consistent leadership to the staff team

Ensure high standards of care, safeguarding, and regulatory compliance

Oversee care planning, risk assessments, and behaviour support strategies

Promote a therapeutic, trauma-informed approach to care

Supervise, mentor, and develop staff to achieve best practice

Build positive relationships with young people, families, and professionals
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience within children’s residential care
- At least 2 years in a Senior or Team Leader position
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management (or working towards)
- Full UK driving licence – essential
- Strong experience supporting young people with EBD
- Sound knowledge of trauma-informed and attachment-based care models
- Proven ability to lead teams, manage compliance, and drive positive outcomes
- Confidence in Ofsted processes, safeguarding, and care planning
