As a Team Leader within residential children’s homes supporting young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD), you will play a key role in the day-to-day running of the service while delivering high-quality, child-centred care. You will lead shifts, ensure safeguarding standards are upheld, and create a safe, structured, and nurturing environment.
You will be responsible for supervising and supporting staff on shift, implementing care plans, managing challenging behaviours, and maintaining compliance with all regulatory and organisational standards. The role is hands-on, requiring direct engagement with young people to build positive relationships and support their emotional, social, and behavioural development.
Working on a 2-on, 4-off rota, you will contribute to consistent care, take part in sleep-in duties, and support daily routines, appointments, and activities, including transporting young people when required. You will also work collaboratively with external professionals, families, and senior leadership, including the Responsible Individual, who has direct involvement across the homes.
Requirements:
- Experience supporting children with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD).
- Level 3 Diploma in Children’s Residential Care, or equivalent.
- Full, valid driving licence.
- Commitment to high-quality care and supporting staff in delivering safe, nurturing environments.
- Willingness to work on a 2 on, 4 off rota, including sleep-in shifts.
